In reply to your enquiry, we have not denied Mr.

Cheetham access to the books relating to the above buBi-

1985.

When he handed us his agreement with Messrs.

Sanders Rehders & Co., Ltd. authorising him to take over

the agency, and the books used in connection therewith, we

informed him that the matter would have to be referred to

our solicitors. He then asked if we declined to part with

the books, to which wo replied that this was also a matter

for our solicitors to settle.

After consultation with Messrs. Deacon, Lookor,

Deacon and Harston we advised Mr. Cheetham three days later

viz. on 29th ultimo, that the books were the property of

Mesars. Reuter Brockelmann & Co., and would be required

for some time to come, but there would be no objection to

his referring to them and obtaining copies of the various

forms in use.
